Such as they are
tethered to senses
of mid-adventure
plus magnanimous
rushes of adrenaline

in dugouts and clubhouses
while manically racing toward home
juices flowing doting over
family photos of olde

seemingly easy going
with little differences
impingingly tight-lipped-
clench-fisted confidence

versus cockiness
seen stewing a lot
over illusory
landing spots

spinning as tops
of chilling prospects
likened to hard copies
full of wants

as stored in pad-locked
foot lockers as impromptu
breachings much further on
of neighborhood watches...
